Much like the wine pull, the coin purse pull is great for getting your guests actively involved in your event.  Solicit one of your local banks to sponsor this event, they are often generous and very willing to participate in community fundraising events!

Turn the game of “bags” into a fun and interactive way to raise money at your event.  All you need is a little room, a board with a hole in it and a few bean bags!

SILENT RAFFLE
A Silent Raffle is where you display multiple items that your guests have a chance to win.  To enter, your guests purchase tickets.  A basket is placed in front of each item and your guests choose which basket to place their tickets into for a chance to win that item.

Anyone who has attended a fundraiser should be familiar with the grand daddy of fundraising activities…  The Silent Auction.  It is a great way to keep guests entertained and keep them at your event until the auction ends!

FIRST TABLE IN LINE
If you are having a dinner with your event, where it is “Buffet” style, you can auction off the chance for your table to be first in line.  This can raise a couple hundred dollars or more, depending upon the scope of your event, the guests’ generosity, and hunger!



LIVE AUCTION
Live auctions are great for raising money at larger events.  They are often combined with sit down dinners to make your event lively and entertaining.  Larger, more valuable items to auction provide the best results.  An experienced auctioneer can provide a great return as they know how to create competition and ultimately raise the most money.

VALET PARKING
Offer valet parking services for a small donation, staffed by responsible volunteers willing to donate their time.  A lot of your guests will take advantage of this, especially if the weather is cold or inclement!



GENERAL FUNDRAISING TIPS:

1. For any money activity, make sure to have sufficient starting monies in a cash box, with varying denominations.  Also, consider setting up to take credit cards, as a lot of people today do not carry much cash or checkbooks!
2. To help raise the awareness of your cause, get prizes and auction items that relate to your particular charity’s mission, such as pet related items for a humane society, art work for the arts, etc.
3. Creating a “theme” for your event, such as “Mardi Gras”, “Hollywood”, “Wild West”, etc.  can really liven-up a fundraiser!
